The exceptionally long bloom season and sweet, spicy fragrance of this shrub are its most treasured features. ‘Eternal Fragrance’ produces abundant clusters of soft pink, star-shaped flowers from mid-spring through fall, each opening from deeper rosy buds and filling the garden with a delightful perfume. This compact, semi-evergreen shrub forms a neat, rounded mound of narrow, gray-green foliage that provides elegant texture and season-long interest even when not in bloom. Typically reaching 2–3’ tall with a similar spread, it is an excellent choice for foundation plantings, borders, pathways, or decorative containers where its continuous blooms and fragrance can be enjoyed up close. It performs best in partial shade with well-drained soil and protection from hot afternoon sun. Hardy in zones 5–9.
